Northfield Softball & Golf Awards
Varsity Softball
The varsity softball team held their award program recently.
Earning varsity chevrons were Jessika Beeks, Callie Monce, Amber Parker, Alexi Randel, Emily Shafer, Katelyn Shafer, Caitlin Eltzroth, Arie Kennedy, Marlee Stefanatos, Breanna Burcroff, Paige Holley, Abby Keaffaber and Payton Thomson. Earning their award jacket letter Abby Keaffaber and Payton Thomson. Earning her numerals was Breanna Burcroff.
Earning JV certificates were Alyssa Lambert, Liddia Crace, Sierra Dailey, Katelyn Gribben, Katelyn Kirtlan, Kelsey Reahard, Jessika Krom, Abigail Poole and Holly Winters.
Earning TRC All-Academic honors were Emily Shafer and Callie Monce. Katelyn Shafer was honorable mention. Earning her senior plaque was Emily Shafer (8 letters).
Individual awards were won by Katelyn Shafer (Most Valuable Player), Emily Shafer (Mental Attitude Award), Abigail Poole (Most Improved Player) and Caitlin Eltzroth (Hustle Award).
Earning Tri-Athlete Awards for playing three sports were Alexi Randel, Alyssa Lambert, Arie Kennedy, Marlee Stefanatos and Abby Keaffaber.
Earning All-TRC honors were Katelyn Shafer (Pitcher) and Caitlin Eltzroth (Infielder). Arie Kennedy earned Honorable Mention honors.
The team was coached by Mike Holley and finished the season 15-9. He was assisted by Scott Burcroff, Brian Thompson, Taylor Wallas, Bailey Carpenter and Doug Kuepper. The JV was 2-9-1 and was coached by Scott Burcroff.
Varsity Golf
The varsity golf award program was held recently. Earning varsity chevrons were Trae Cole, Trey Eads, Andrew Eckerley, Austin Burns, Taylor Poole, Braydon Schindler and Jacob Terrell. Earning their first varsity letter were Trey Eads, Taylor Poole, Braydon Schindler and Jacob Terrell. Terrell also earned his numerals and Schindler earned his varsity award jacket.
Earning their JV certificate were Bo Mullett and Tanner Easterday.
Trae Cole was the TRC Champion and earned All-Conference honors. The team finished 3rd at the TRC Meet.
Earning individual honors were Trae Cole (Most Valuable Player), Austin Burns (Mental Attitude Award) and Taylor Poole (Mr. Consistency Award).
The Norse finished the season 14-4-1. They finished 3rd at the Cole Memorial and 4th at the Wabash Invitational. They were coached by Eric Terrell. He was assisted by Abby Gorman.
Etna Instructional Week
The junior instruction week at Etna Acres golf course ended Saturday with the Jr-Sr alternate shot .

Etna Acres golf course opened their back nine in 1993 with the Whooo tournament.
This year s tourney was played Saturday.

Apache Golf Season Stops At Regional
The Wabash boys golf team participated in the Warsaw regional, ending their season placing 17th with a team score of 350.
Jordan Blair led the way with an 80. Jack Leland fired 86, Jack Stein 88, Parker Harner 96, Josh Provance 101.
The Apaches were the sectional champions at Rock Hollow.
Apache Golf Wins Sectional Crown
The Wabash boys’ golf team was crowned the 2013 Peru Sectional champions on Monday at Rock Hollow Golf Course. The Apaches’ team score of 330 was enough to outdistance second place Western (340) and third place Peru (342). The balanced effort was led by Jack Leland’s 79 which was one shot off medalist honors. Junior Josh Provance carded a season-low 80. Jordan Blair followed with an 81 and Jack Stein rounded out the scoring with a 90. The Apaches will take part in the IHSAA Warsaw Regional on Thursday held at Stonehenge Golf Course. Tee times begin at 9:40am.
Manchester/Northfield Golf Season Comes To End
The Manchester and Northfield boys golf teams participated in the Warsaw golf sectional Friday, with the Norse(348) finishing 7th and the Squires(417) 12th.
Warsaw won the meet with a 314.
